The City of Perth Marching Corps is part of the City of Perth Band program. Originally established in 1898 as a brassband the band has grown to include a Concert Band, Swing Band, Male Vocal Quartet, and Brass Quintet. Each band has persons from ages 18 to 80 years of age. This is the inaugural year for the City of Perth Marching Corps, and it has already been a great hit with the public. All members of the marching corps play all music by memory while moving to choreography. This is the very first band of its kind in all of Australia. With influences from America's Drum Corps International (DCI), this band brings a level of showmanship and entertainment not witnessed in Australia.
